Context

This project involved the localisation of customer-facing content for an international cloud computing and web hosting provider. The scope included materials announcing service updates, pricing changes, and new hosting features.

Much of the work focused on email newsletters communicating infrastructure upgrades and feature rollouts. I also localised website content, including product pages, technical sections, pricing materials, and dashboard UI strings.

Challenge

The content required precise terminology, particularly around performance metrics, security features, and pricing models. Source materials came from both English and French, sometimes differing in phrasing or level of technical detail.

Another challenge was addressing a mixed audience. Content needed to remain accessible to individual website owners while meeting the expectations of more experienced users. Many updates were time-sensitive, adding additional pressure on delivery schedules.

Approach & outcome

My focus was on ensuring accuracy and consistency across content types, from short UI labels to longer explanatory pages. Where necessary, I reconciled differences between source versions and applied unified terminology.

The result was a clearer and more coherent Italian user experience, making service updates and hosting tools easier to understand.
